BMW has announced plans to introduce the Alpina B7 Biturbo Allrad at the New York Auto Show. As the name suggests, the car is an Alpina B7 with an all-wheel drive system (xDrive). Like the standard model, the Allrad will be available in short and long wheelbases.
The excitement intensifies for fans of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 racing car as pictures have finally been released of this model. The engine used is a 6.3-liter V8, similar to the road car.
However, it has been tuned to deliver about 600bh – a figure that many race organizers consider acceptable. It is mated to a six-speed racing gearbox with steering wheel mounted paddles, and an integrated multi-disc locking differential. In addition, this racer is much lighter than the road car. The car has also been modified to be more aerodynamic.
The tuning specialists at B&B have created their own version of the VW Scirocco R. The German-based tuner, which specializes in Audi and VW cars, raised performance values, which typically are preserved by high class sports cars.
B&B said that cars can reach 3 different stages (310, 324 and 362 hp). The car can accelerate to 100km/h from a standstill in 4.9 seconds, while Vmax level is over 280km/h.
