Hennessey has released a video of the Venom GT being driven near Silverstone, England. Three versions will be available: the aforementioned base model uses a supercharged 6.2-liter LS9 V8 engine (from the Corvette ZR1), while the 1000 hp (746 kW / 1014 PS) and 1200 hp (895 kW / 1217 PS) models use a twin-turbo V8. The latter version accelerates from 0-60 mph in 2.4 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 272 mph (440 km/h) – easily surpassing the Bugatti Veyron’s top speed of 254 mph (408 km/h).
