New V6 engine with 312 hp on 2011 Chevrolet Camaro

To return to the top position in the fight for supremacy against the 2011 Mustang V-6, Chevrolet announced that it will once again be the V-6 champion with its 312hp Camaro – 7hp more than the Mustang.
Tom Sutter, GM’s V-6 chief engineer, said that the 304hp in the 2010 Camaro was “a conservative rating.” Sutter said further that the company went the extra mile and certified the engine for this application and it has verified that the engine can produce 8hp more.
